Hi Annie
As you know we are out in Europe at the moment. We got our insurance through Staysure. They do not cover my pre-existing conditions, but they didn't cover them before I was diagnosed with PH. We paid just over £80 for years travel insurance for TWO of us, and all hubby's pre-existing conditions covered too!! Am not sure if the Channel Islands don't have a reciprocal arrangement for NHS treatment, like the Isle of Man has with the UK. Check it out with the EHIC (free emergency medical cover card)website.
Hope you have great holiday there - it looks very much like the Isle of Man, where I lived for 18 months, in my younger days!!LOL

margaret, i am a big fan of the isle of man too, I have family there..sadly the I-O-M reciprocal health care agreement with the UK is coming to an end.

Likewise the Channel Islands have ended their agreement on 9th april 2009 I have been told.
 
but i cant understand why we should take out an insurance policy where pre-existing problems are not covered.  seems illogical to me.

I agree.  Without pre-existing problems it would only cover you for new health things that happened, accidents, theft, etc.  However insurance companies are not very kind and they'd probably say that anything medical or even an accident was caused by your pre-existing condition!
 
I think Margaret's insurance was annual and she's still within that year so her PH is covered this time, but I agree with your logic Annie and only take one that covers pre-existing conditions. That's my opinion.

They were consistently cheaper than anyone else, and very helpful and efficient. 
 
Having just returned from an (almost) round the world trip complete with my little Go-Go mobility scooter, and Portable oxygen concentrator,  I am very pleased with all the help and kindness I received from various airlines and airports, not to mention countless staff in transit.  Everyine has been amazingly good at dealing with my disability and special needs.
 
I hope you have a great time in Jersey.  I lived and worked there for some years, and it is a magically beautiful place, even though small it has heaps of character.

With words such as Viagra, Sildenafil and Revatio appearing on here any addresses a web-crawler finds will end up receiving lots of spam. Using AT instead @ allows humans to recognise it as an email address but not web-bots.

Hi, did you make the trip to Benidorm?  Hope you did and you had a fab time.    Did you have any problem getting your medical supplies through customs?  I too use Flolan and am planning a trip this summer.  Are there are any words of wisdom or caution you can offer regarding the transportation of the drug and all the paraphenalia that goes with it????  Thanks

Hi all
when we went to New Zealand last christmas we had insurance that covered my PH and everything else. I personally would not travel without it but that is my choice. There are firms around that will cover PH and not excessively expensive
Wherever you are all going had a fab and safe time in the sun!!

I don't see anything specific in the T & C; except for avoiding "adult" material. Is it perhaps that some material may be taken as advertising?

Hi John,
 
 The rules for posting links to other web-sites are that you send the link to the PHA office and it is vetted for its authenticity prior to being posted.   If deemed safe and true then we will adivse you that it can be posted. 

 Also as you say it can also be seen as advertising and also possibly untrue research. Again we have had issues in the past with web-site links which is why we request that links are not posted without prior consent...

I must apologise for not doing that in the past. However I don't seem to be able to find that instruction in the T&C or FAQ.

Can I assume that I go to the "Contact Us" page and use the form there to submit the web link for approval?

 The T & C states,   We do not allow advertising of products or services on the forum. 
 This also means links to other web-sites. Sorry for any confusion.
 
 Yes please send any requests about posting links either to the office, ie, contact us or they can go through me via a pm.....
