We are going to euro disney in July and was wondering if we will need a letter from our doctor with regards to Chloes meds and Epropostenol infusion supplies (whichcontains syringes and hyperdermic needles)

If we do, what sort of thing should the letter say?

Thanx in advance

Hi ya, good question.... just wondering how you will be travelling (ferry, air, train, car..) I would have thought a 'fit to fly' type of letter/form would be worth having just so the airline knows? if thats how you are getting there but I'm not 100% sure.  Maybe a letter from GOSH?  Insurance details are on the  'useful web link'/travel' some info on oxygen too ....but I didnt see anything about required forms or letters, unless I missed it? Sorry I'm not much use, but just wanted to say 'have a fantastic time there' and a safe journey.  When do you go?
love
Chrissiex

Hope  you all have a great time. Shouldn`t think there will be any problem. Not as if your flying.
Today may have been bad but tomorrow could be a whole lot better.

Hii Darren & Rebecca,

Sounds like fun holiday.  Just an idea if you are unsure of things.... Ask Yvette if she could put you in touch with Julie Clarke ( Kierans Mum )..... Julie and Martin have been doing eruo disney on the suro star with Kieran for several years and will know everything you need to know in taking your supplies, as Kieran is also on Epo and other meds......  Julie is really nice and friendly and i know she would happily discuss how that get on with taking everything over the boarder.
Hope this helps. If Yvette can't help you then do let me know as i can speak to julie and ask her to give you a call....

take care and hope you have a fab holiday

I've never had a problem with taking meds overseas but I do take a letter from Sheffield with me. One word of advice when travelling through France...take spares if you can just in case the French fishermen blockade the ports as that snarls up the Chunnel. We got caught when returning from Provence last year and I was working out how long I could survive on half rations of Bosetan and other meds (if any of the RHH staff are reading this ignore it LOL).
Simples!!!

Thanx for that Loz- will ensure i pack a few extra days of Flolan now!!  (meds already have a suitcase to itself) Normally take an extra strip of oral meds if we're away from home anyway.

Spoke to GOSH and harriette said it shouldnt be a problem but will pop a letter in the post anyway to take with us..just in case!

Thanx again for all your helpx

Hello.

Hope you have a fab time. We have been twice with Kaylee, second time we knew what was what. Both times we had a covering letter from GOSH, and we went on Eurostar with know problems. Second time I was able to book eurostar disabled tickets and we all travelled in first class with wider seats and space for Kaylees large disabled buggy. The handy thing was, was that although our seats were standard £60 ish return and Kaylee's slightly cheaper, we all got a meal included and drinks etc. So the extra space and food was a real plus.

Eurostar this end be prepared to take every thing off the buggy, ie, anything in buggy pockets, anything in buggy basket, its all put in a tray and goes through machine, so make sure your not standing there forever taking every bit if paper or toy wrapper, tissues toys anything at all off the buggy. I have pockets galore on my buggy, it took me ages. The same for coming back.

When get off train at eurostar Paris, I'm afraid there is only 1 lift for the whole eurostar train and its tiny, which is absolutlely ridiculous, almost everyone just que's for the escalator. But that can be dangerous depending on how much luggage u have.

Make sure you go to the town hall I think it was and get your pass, its handy for que jumping and you also get special allocated spaces when the parades are on.

Getting your case at station, if you used disney to take it back to station, is awlful. Leave an hour before getting on the train to get it as that is chaos. I know I've pointed out alot of the bad stuff, but once you know this you can work with it and then enjoy your holiday.
We had the best time, so enjoy it all.

Anything else you might want to know, just ask and hopefully I'll have the answer.

Have a lovely time.

Kaye x

Kind regards

Kaye

I would love to take Connor but not sure if the distance is a wee bit too far, he gets a bit travel sick... did you find the travelling easy going? any info or advice on that would be great ....any pics?
