I think that you will find that with iPlayer, the majority of programmes are only available for a period of 7 days after the original broadcast. The only way you can get a longer "shelf life" is to install the iPlayer Desktop, download the complete programme, and then you have up to 30 days in which to view it.

Hi after reading all the posts i decided to go on youtube and see if there was a video of the operation mentioned, so i just put pulmonary endarterectomy into the search, and it did bring up a few things , including the One Show Talking to Mr jenkins and showing some details of the op. 
hope this helps those who are interested.   I had this operation in april 2007, done at Papworth by Mr jenkins,  It did change my life a lot for the better !  i have what is termed residual PH, and still need to use oxygen, but other than that i try to lead a "normal" life,  where as prior to the op i couldnt even fasten my own shoes or walk up stairs without someone helping me.
