Hi all
I have not posted for a while but i would like to say welcome to all our new members - if you use facebook we are on there to! I have read your stories and as usual some of you have had a long and difficult road to diagnosis. But the important thing is that you now have the diagnosis and your centre will work out the best medication to keep your type of PH stable. Thety will also refer some on for transplant. We all have a challenging road but the important thing is to keep positive and enjoy life inspite of the restrictions the condition may put on us. Push the boundaries but not too far and listen to your body it will tell you when to rest. It takes up to 18 months to get your head around the condition so take time, take care and ask questions. Kady

Thank you for your welcome, I am new to the forum, only being diagnosed a week ago, waiting for my first appointment at Royal Brompton, I am 48, married with 2 sons, this is all a bit scary and not sure what is going to happen in next few weeks, but I have found this site to be very useful

Hi Kim,
Welcome to the site. As some have said ask any questions and more than likely somebody will know the answer. Yes it is a scary journey but it,does help,to know that we are travelling on the same road so to speak. You are not alone. Use this site day or night. The tests do seem to be tedious at times but remember they are all for YOUR good so just let them get on with the job they do so well. Keep as well as you can, pleased you have the support of your family Carole

Hi Kasa, I live in New Milton, Hampshire, I have always been in good health and all this has come as a bit of a shock, I spent 9 days in Southampton General and at the end of that got diagnosed as having PH, waiting for appointment from Brompton Hospital, just unsure how much walking etc I should be doing, I don't drive so have always walked everywhere.

Hi Kimmy
I would say listen to your body it will tell you when your overdoing it, just take things at a more leisurely pace, and I do hope you soon hear from the Brompton. Best of luck Rita xx

Now got an appointment to see Dr Limbrey at Southampton hospital on Thursday 2nd August, so only a few days then hopefully I may get a few answers to help get all this sorted in my head and also to help my hubby and rest of family, thank you for all your kind words and positive comments.
