Patient stories
Hearing other’s stories of how pulmonary hypertension (PH) has affected their lives can help people understand the effects of PH. It can also help to see how people get on with their lives, despite having PH.
In addition to the written stories below, this section of the website contains short videos of people with or affected by PH. There are also some audio stories you can listen to.
- Kieran Clarke - That's My Boy
- Joanne Carr - A Mountain to Climb
- Hannah Mortimer - A Birthday Shock
- Damien Mesaque - Always on the Go
- John Hayward - Down to Earth
- Karen Yates
- George Gaskin, The Medical...
- Dominic Hurley
- Kathy Davis
- Sue Townsley
- Peter Hobbins PH Journey
- Hilary Smith
- Alex Robson
- Paula
- Gabrielle
For those looking for more in-depth patient stories, there is the autobiography of Victoria Kate Lynn, who had PH and sadly died aged 20, on 17th November 2003. The book, published in memory of Victoria can be purchased from our merchandise section.
This section of the website has come about thanks to the many PHA UK members who have shared their stories. If you would like to contribute, please contact us, or send us your story online by visiting Tell your story.
